Fans Stories Around The World, Episode#3: "Short Stories from Argentina, India, Indonesia and Turkey"

Dear Friends,

Here in Egypt or even in most Arab countries we can easily buy any albums of Amr. We can attend his concerts and watch his videos or interviews just with one click on any channel. But it's not the same with foreign fans.

We try to give you some stories from foreign fans around the world, and they will tell us how they started listening to Amr Diab and how they keep listening to him in very far distance, and we will try to get those stories for you and post it in single episode.

and if you are a foreign fan, you have a special stories and memories with Amr, try to send it to me and I'll work out to share it here

Amr was introduced to me by a good friend from Egypt, he mentioned Amr and I said "I don't know him" but my friend said "when you listen to him, you will recognize him"! My friend was right, I immediately recognized "Nour el ain". Then my friend sent me "Tamally Ma'ak" which I fell in love immediately!! Since then, I've been listening to Amr!! It's a bit difficult to find all Amr's CD's in Argentina but... not impossible!!!!!! Shokran Mahmoud for having given me the chance to meet Amr!!

i m jawahir from INDIA... my dad bought me a CD of DIAB Nour El' Ain(1996) when i was 10 years old... now m 19 ..from den i am following diab's songs.... i don't understand d lyrics that much but bass of hes MIGHTY voice juz suits me up d mood...so Good he is ..Adios...!! Hopin still a lotta songs from AMR..!!!

Last year I went on holiday to Sharm El Sheikh and our taxi driver played Amr Diab all the time - I fell in love with "Habbibi" and when I got home I started looking for albums to buy from Amazon - since then I have a great collection of Amr songs - I might not understand what is being sung yet (little by little I learn) but I love the music, the voice, the melody and rhythms.

Thanks so much for sharing these! Actually, if you go to youtube and put in "Amr Diab English subtitles", there are videos that people have created. Some of them are Amr's actual music videos, others are slide shows people have created. There are several web sites that have the English translations:

I am not saying these are the best web sites, but it is a starting point for you. I used to work in research so I have ways of finding things online that others have difficulty with.

I have collected many of the lyrics in English as well as Franco Arabic, since I taught myself to sing these. If you are having trouble finding any of the lyrics, please add me as a friend on here and we can chat
